Adolescence a period of life between the ages of 10 and 18 is characterised by important physical, social – health and developmental needs- and  psychological changes. It carries new risks, but also provides unique opportunities. VCDF has identified both Lagos State ‘Special Correctional Centre for Boys’ and ‘Special Correctional Centre for Girls’ as an integral part of our Social Inclusion. The correctional centres have the responsibility of reformation, re-socialisation, rehabilitation and reintegration of children who are beyond parental control, in conflict with the law and survivors of unfortunate circumstances. Our programming for ‘at-risk’ children and young adults targets the following areas: health and hygiene, life skills, vocational training and capacity building on self-reliance and agricultural value chain development.
