T3 - Transforming Teachers for Tomorrow

T3 programme stands as a pivotal initiative in fortifying the educational landscape by empowering 381 teachers in more then 30 schools in Lagos and Akwa Ibom state. With a goal to enhance teaching and learning outcomes, T3 extends a comprehensive approach through its diverse training modules. The programme encompasses a five-day Capacity Building Workshop, meticulously designed to refine pedagogical skills and classroom management techniques for secondary school educators. through a cascading model, VCDF reached out to an additional 370 teachers. Simultaneously, Foundational Literacy and Numeracy training equip primary school teachers with essential competencies crucial for fostering robust comprehension and problem-solving abilities among students. Furthermore, Soft Skill training sessions foster a culture of collaboration and knowledge exchange, nurturing qualities such as communication, empathy, and leadership among teachers. By bolstering teachers’ capabilities, T3 not only elevates classroom dynamics but also cultivates a cadre of educators poised to positively impact student learning trajectories, aligning with broader governmental efforts to enhance educational standards.

LEP spearheaded by VCDF in Lagos and Akwa-Ibom has emerged as a beacon of educational empowerment, impacting 14,177 students and 586 teachers through a multifaceted approach. This initiative, spanning various activities such as Career Orientation, First-Aid Training, Antibullying awareness, and Science Exhibitions, aims to bolster meaningful progress in learning through observation and participation. The programmes diverse components include Career Guidance sessions, equipping students with insights into various career pathways and requisite qualifications. Additionally, Emergency Response and Basic First Aid Training instill vital life-saving skills, while Environment Clubs cultivate eco-consciousness and foster sustainable practices. The Science Exhibition aspect ignites scientific curiosity, encouraging students to explore and innovate while providing a platform for educators to showcase their ingenuity. Through these endeavors, LEP catalyzes holistic development, nurturing young minds and empowering them to navigate the complexities of the modern world with confidence and resilience.

MSI - Model School Initiative

The Model School Initiative (MSI) is a transformative programme aimed at enhancing educational infrastructure to foster improved teaching, learning outcomes, and decreased dropout rates. Operating in key locations like Lagos and Akwa-Ibom, MSI focuses on refurbishing classrooms, science laboratories, and gender-segregated latrines equipped with WASH facilities in schools. Additionally, MSI furnishes schools with essential furniture and science laboratory consumables, ensuring students have the necessary resources for a conducive learning environment. By investing in these critical aspects of education, MSI endeavors to create model schools that inspire academic excellence and provide students with the tools they need to succeed.
